Journey to the Cloud with GitHub
About this event
On April 13, we’re excited to have you join us to learn all about GitHub Enterprise Cloud from our very own users, Blue Yonder and Block.
During this session, engineering leads from both companies will discuss why they switched to the cloud, how it helped them combat internal challenges, and the process improvements their teams experienced from the move. Then we’ll open up the floor for a Q&A session.
You’ll walk away with a better understanding of how your organization can move to the cloud securely— with confidence and control.
In addition to the hot topic of the cloud, this event will give you the opportunity to network with like-minded professionals in the industry, share knowledge and experiences, and build relationships that could lead to future partnerships.
Register below to save your spot! If you can’t join us in-person, register to join us virtually here.

Presenters
Gábor Pap, Engineering Manager - Developer Tools, Block
Gábor is the Engineering Manager on Block’s Developer Tools team. After overseeing the successful Github Cloud migration, Gábor became responsible for managing Github and related productivity tooling as the DRI. Over the last two years, Block and Github have established a highly productive partnership, with Block contributing to the development roadmap and beta testing new features. Gábor has been facilitating this collaboration and ensuring that Block's needs are effectively communicated to the GitHub team.
Gabriel Kohen, Senior Principal Software Engineer, Blue Yonder
Gabriel is an avid believer that a software solution should be both revenue driven, highly usable, maintainable while utilizing best of breed technologies/approaches out there. A full stack software craftsman who seamlessly transitions between the role of an architect, technical leader, developer advocate and a hands-on coder. Passionate advocate of achieving the right solution rather than fan-boying to a technology. As a believer that processes should serve people/stakeholders and not the other way around, he believes that the combination of DevOps methodology, platform and site reliability engineers is the best approach these days to tackling the complex large-scale solutions and team topologies. A polyglot of languages, frameworks and design patterns driven to results while going through the various layers of distributed system. From cloud platforms, machine learning, databases, web services, to UX design. Guilty pleasure old school language: Logo.
About GitHub Enterprise Cloud
As a SaaS platform, GitHub Enterprise Cloud is the most operationally efficient deployment option for organizations operating at scale on GitHub. In addition to its ability to scale to support Enterprises with more than 50,000 developers, the platform provides resilience and disaster recovery out of the box. On Cloud, Enterprises will gain access to features months and sometimes quarters before they ship to server.
Improve speed and scale by moving to the cloud. Boost productivity, speed, and innovation—all by improving your developers’ day-to-day workflows.
